Problems with existing payroll?
If your existing payroll service provider is letting you down, talk to us. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, even in the most complex payrolls and our expertise means we can get to the bottom of historic problems and get you back on track and compliant.
For monthly payrolls, you must pay over all payroll taxes no later than the 22nd of the following month.
HMRC frown on late payments and will charge penalties to persistent offenders. A well run payroll will help avoid this.
It sounds like something is going wrong with your payroll. It may be as simple as adding the correct payroll reference when you pay HMRC, or it may be that whoever is running your payroll is not fully up to date on the rules. Let us help you manage this properly.
If your business receives services from a worker through an intermediary then there are new rules in place. You will need to assess your business size and whether the new rules apply to you. We can help you to do this.
We can help you to get registered as a new employer and will set up a payroll process that works for you and your team. It can take a week or two to get up and running so best to start before your employee joins.
You may wish to replicate as far as possible your home office employees’ benefits. That’s a good start but there may be local tax implications, and you might choose to benchmark locally to what your competitors are doing to help you attract the best team members. We have a network of excellent advisers who can give specialist advice, and we can help set up whatever you choose.
Ideally, yes. You can make salary and other payments in GBP from your home bank account but the costs are likely to be high.
That is not a problem. Many businesses these days have homeworking arrangements, and if you only have one or two employees intially there is little point to running premises. We can provide a virtual address for correspondence until you are ready to get your own offices. But remember: as soon as you have employees, you must take out employers’ liability insurance, and follow Health and Safety rules, even if your team work from home.
All UK employers must make a compliant pension available to their eligible employees. We can help you administer your chosen scheme.

Payroll for start-ups and early stage
